WROTEITMYSELF PTY LTD Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and services operated by WROTEITMYSELF PTY LTD (“WroteItMyself”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), including https://wroteitmyself.com and any associated products (together, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, or by creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
These Terms are effective as of 22/06/2026 and were last updated on 09/07/2026.
About the Service
WroteItMyself is a tool that helps job seekers research roles and companies, draft and refine resumes and cover letters in their own voice, track applications, and prepare for interviews, with related features we may add or change over time. The Service provides assistance and suggestions only. It does not guarantee any interview, job offer, or other outcome, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement or, where relevant, professional advice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to use online services, to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide to us is accurate and current.
Accounts
To use certain features you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- keeping your login credentials confidential and secure;
- all activity that occurs under your account; and
- notifying us promptly at support@wroteitmyself.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
We may suspend or disable your account where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, or where required to protect the Service, other users, or ourselves.
Plans, Credits, and Payment
The Service is offered on a freemium basis. Some features are available at no cost, and paid plans or credits provide additional or expanded access.
- Credits. Certain features consume credits. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Paid plans. Paid subscriptions and one-off purchases are billed through our third-party payment provider (for example, Stripe). By purchasing, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge the applicable fees.
- Renewals. Subscription plans may renew automatically for successive periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Price changes. We may change our fees or plan structure. We will give reasonable notice of changes affecting an active paid plan, and changes will apply from your next billing period.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:
- use the Service in breach of any law, or to infringe the rights of others;
- submit content that is unlawful, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, or that you do not have the right to submit;
- misrepresent your identity, experience, or qualifications, or use the Service to deceive an employer or any third party;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems, or interfere with or disrupt the Service;
- copy, scrape, resell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law; or
- use the Service to develop a competing product or to train a competing model.
You are responsible for the content you provide and for how you use any output you obtain from the Service.
AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, drafts, and other content based on the information you provide.
- AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You must review, verify, and edit any output before relying on or submitting it.
- You are solely responsible for the final content of any resume, cover letter, message, or application you send.
- Subject to your compliance with these Terms and any applicable third-party rights, we do not claim ownership of the output generated for you; as between you and us, that output is yours to use.
Intellectual Property
Our property. We (and our licensors) own the Service, including all software, code, designs, text, branding, and improvements. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose during your use of it. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Your content. You retain ownership of the information and content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, and use Your Content solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service, and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the rights necessary to grant this licence.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, hosting, payment, email, analytics, and AI model providers) and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded (“Non-Excludable Rights”).
To the extent our liability for a failure to comply with a Non-Excludable Right can lawfully be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant services again or paying the cost of having them resupplied.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to your Non-Excludable Rights:
- the Service and all output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied;
- we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any output will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose;
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, opportunity, data, goodwill, or employment outcomes; and
- our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) AUD $100.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any loss, liability, or cost we reasonably incur arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or Your Content, except to the extent caused by us.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, or immediately in cases of serious misuse, illegal activity, or a security threat.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — will survive. We handle your data after termination as described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.
General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor or affiliate. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
